Allison O’Brien is originally from Indiana, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Purdue University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University. She also holds a Master of Laws in Human Rights and International Criminal Justice from Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
During law school, Allison interned with the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Arusha, Tanzania and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. After law school, Allison completed a fellowship in Malaysia representing clients during the Refugee Status Determination process before UNHCR, an experience which sparked her interest in working in immigration law within the United States.
In her free time, Allison enjoys traveling, hiking, studying Spanish, and listening to her record collection.
